This Zippo lighter commemorates and honours the Falkland Islands, featuring significant symbols related to its history and military heritage.

Design Features:

On the front the lighter shas the Falkland Islands military motto, ‘Faithful in Defence’ 

This motto was officially approved by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in April 2021 to mark the centenary of the Falkland Islands Defence Force (FIDF), recognizing over 100 years of dedicated service. 

On the back is engraved a detailed map of the Falkland Islands.


A bit of history:

The Faulkland Islands Defence FOrce (FIDF), established in 1920, is the world’s oldest standing volunteer force in the British Overseas Territories. 

The motto ‘Faithful in Defence’, was adopted to honour the force’s unwavering commitment to British security of the Falkland Islands.
