Melrose Ware pottery was produced by the Hoffman Brick and Tile Company, which was founded in 1862 in the Melbourne suburb of Brunswick. The company was originally a brick and tile manufacturer but began producing artware pottery (Mel-rose) from 1931 -1942 in a more artisan style.

Normally they concentrated on the green glaze. This gem I'm letting go is also stunning green! Unfortunately it does have a rim flaw (pictured).
