With similar glaze style to Henning Rathjen, (they were active around the same time) this lovely vase is in fantastic used condition. The thickly glazed tactile floral exterior is offset by the pale yellow glazed interior. With no cacks, chips or glaze misses, this vase would make a lovely addition to your contemporary style vase collection.

I feel that both Rathjen and Juckert are underappreciated as potters, their ranges of work were phenomenal.

Erik Juckert was an Australian potter who was active from the late 1940s to the early 1990s. He was born in Melbourne in 1918 and studied pottery with Una Deerborn, one of Australia's leading potters.
