Rose Noble pottery jug - Mildura V - grapes
Rose Noble pottery jug - Mildura V - grapes
What a little gem this 50s/60s 'Mildura V' souvenir jug is. It's cute, it's gorgeous and in lovely vintage condition too for a 60+-year-old piece of pottery. Price will always reflect the condition.
The Rose Noble a pottery company was established by Samuel William Noble in the Sydney area during the 1950s and early 1960s. The company produced small slipware souvenir cream jugs decorated with Australian flora and fauna. These jugs were directed at the tourist and souvenir markets of the day and were often sold with a slip of paper introducing the buyer to their newly prized item. The jugs are identified with the mark “Rose Noble,” “Rose Noble Australia,” or “Noble Australia” on the base.
