How much can a koala bear this cute egg cup. Gempo 1960s/1970s
Gempo pottery was created by a Japanese company called UCTCI for an Australian giftware company named ‘Gempo’ between 1962 and 1974 (12 limited years of production). This collaboration led to the production of popular stoneware items. Gempo pottery is often characterised by its playful and colourful designs that represent a unique blend of Japanese craftsmanship and Australian cultural influences.
Collectors and pottery enthusiasts are now looking for these highly sort after, cherished, unique, nostalgic and decorative items that evoke memories of childhood now passed.
(Gempo also imported other items such as glass ware and cook ware).
Please see and expand the photos as they help to form part of the overall condition description.
