Garry Nash has been working with hot glass since 1978 and is one of the pioneers of the studio glass movement in New Zealand. He joined Sunbeam Glassworks in Auckland 1981 as a full-time glass artist and acquired ownership of Sunbeam seven years later. Today he continues to operate the studio as Nash Glass, pursuing his own personal exploration of the glass medium. (From his website)
This piece would have been made in the 80's from the label. I can't tell whether this is black or a really dark deep blue. I will leave that up to you. This is one of his plainer pieces but still highly collectable to the art glass connoisseur.
There are a couple of flea bites in the glass, remember this is vintage glass and it has travelled over the pond and through the years. But as per usual:
