Ellis Ceramics (founded in Melbourne in 1953 by Czechoslovakian migrants Dagmar and Miloslav Kratochvil) was a cornerstone of mid-century Australian pottery. Their vintage table lamps are still highly sought-after collector's items, known for their bold modernist shapes with vibrant and often solid to metallic lustre glazes.
