Eileen Brooker Tasmania - Pottery Mug with cobalt blue abstract design

To Eileen painting was always her first passion and this can be seen in the number and variety of pots produced over her long career. Her pottery studio is still beneath her home with her oil-fired kiln outside the house. 

Eileen’s career spanned over 60 years (she's in her late 90's now), was a student at the Hobart School of Art in the 40s where she was taught by renowned potters Lucien Dechaineaux, the Pittman Sisters and Jack Carrington-Smith. IAP

From her potters stamp this cup is from the 80s or 90s and my oh my hasn't it travelled well!

It is immaculate in the sturdy yet sensual design of the handle and full-bodied-ness of the mug 💕
