A bit of history for you: Davey Ware - Also known as Port Elliot Pottery were crafted by the South Australian potter Robert Davey together with his son David. The studio was known for making a range of pottery items such as vases, salt and pepper shakers, milk / cream jugs, bowls vases and other pottery related items. According to the Encyclopedia of Australian Potters Marks by Geoff Ford this paper label dates from 1953 - mid 1970's.
Our items on offer (Salt and Pepper shakers, Cream Jug and Bowl) have fuss free forms that are aesthetically pleasing and extremely tactile in their functionality.
I'm not usually a fan of chocolate poo brown glazes but these have kind of grown on me.
The 4 pieces were quite hard to photograph as even though they looked the same colour glaze in real life they have come up differently in the photos.
