Cobalt blue glass decanter produced to commemorate the 1970 Captain Cook Bicentenary. The bicentennial marked 200 years since Lieutenant James Cook and the crew of the HMB Endeavour charted the east coast of Australia and landed at Botany Bay in April 1770.

The bottle was commissioned by Continental Distillers, an Australian spirits company.
The front and side have the original labels still in great vintage condition. While the back of the bottle features an embossed, molded outline of a map of Australia.

Sold during the mid-to-late 20th century, these are now sought after by collectors of Australiana and vintage glass decanters.

I actually have a couple of these but am only releasing them slowly. Rather not flood the market with blue glass.

Please see and expand the photos as they help to form part of the overall condition description.
