Charlie Chaplain/Hobo vintage lamp base

Metal and pottery Charlie Chaplain/hobo 1950s vintage lamp base/ bar bell (missing the hammer to clang the bell). It's so fabulously quirky!

Was probably made in Japan but I could be wrong.
