Stackable Jason Canisters with bakelite handle and anodised lid- 'Biscuits & Scones'
Model Maid Jason was a company that produced anodised aluminium kitchenware in Australia from the 1950s to the 1970s. Anodising is a process that creates a protective oxide layer on metal surfaces, making them more durable and resistant to corrosion. Anodised aluminium also has a shiny and colourful appearance, which made it popular for household items.
Model Maid Jason was known for its range of canisters, jugs, mugs, and other kitchen accessories in various colours and designs. Some of the canisters had a harlequin pattern, which means they had different colours on each side. The canisters were labelled with the names of different food items, such as flour, sugar, rice, tea, coffee etc. The lids of the canisters had bakelite handles, which are made from a type of plastic that does not conduct heat or electricity.
